Package: mailman Version: 1:2.1.9-7 Severity: normal I have a list, archiving is activated, the archive is set to be public.
On the listinfo page and on tha admin page the links to the list archives point to http://server/pipermail/listname Following this link you get 404. Writing https://server/cgi-bin/mailman/private/listname it works. This is the link that I have on the admin page if I switch the archive to private. This link works even if the archive is set to public (you have to authenticate yourself) So it seems that the list archives are always private, and setting it to public changes the URL on the pages only.
