You can skip the ifndef/endif stuff since this only is a protection against macro redefinition. You are still using split config? If so, you have made the change in the right place. If so, I currently do not see any issue why this should not work. Maybe debug output obtained by running echo foo | exim -d-all+auth+deliver+transport [EMAIL PROTECTED] can help in finding out. This debugging output should not contain any private data such as passwords.
