Well, apart from explaining translators that the *basic* check before
sending a translation is:

msgfmt -o /dev/null -c --statistics <file>

... I don't know.

The problem, currently, is poedit which creates invalid PO files when
it saves them. I'm serioulsy considering the upgrade the severity of
the relevant bug report to RC.
