Package: slocate Version: 3.1-1 Severity: normal The slocate(1) man page says:
-c Parse '/etc/updatedb.conf' when updating the slocate database. (see CONFIGURATION FILE below). but: $ slocate -c slocate: option requires an argument -- c $ slocate -c -u $ slocate -u slocate: fatal error: You are not authorized to create a default slocate database! "slocate -c -u" should also have returned an error, but it seems that the option -c has taken the -u as an argument. This can also be seen with slocate libc.so libm.so slocate -c libc.so libm.so for instance (the option -c should have been ignored). -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-4-686-bigmem (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=POSIX, LC_CTYPE=en_US.ISO8859-1 (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages slocate depends on: ii adduser 3.102 Add and remove users and groups ii dpkg 1.14.4 package maintenance system for Deb ii libc6 2.5-9+b1 GNU C Library: Shared libraries slocate recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
