I tried to compile some examples from the openscenegraph-doc package and encountered a couple of linking errors. In the file /usr/share/doc/openscenegraph-doc/OpenSceneGraph/src/examples/osgsimulation/GNUmakefile the library "-losgTerrain" should be added to the LIBS line. In the file /usr/share/doc/openscenegraph-doc/OpenSceneGraph/src/examples/osgcamera/GNUmakefile there is the line "LIBS += -lProducer -losgDB --losgUtil -losg $(GL_LIBS) $(X_LIBS) $(OTHER_LIBS)". There the additional hyphen in front of "-losgUtil" should be removed. I have not checked all examples so there might be other errors too. If I find another I will report it against this bug.
