Hi, While playing with insserv I noticed that after I did an update-bootsystem-insserv the cryptdisks and cryptdisks-early links in rcS.d had the same number: /etc/rcS/S07cryptdisks /etc/rcS/S07cryptdisks-early LVM was started before both: /etc/rcS/S05lvm I think cryptdisk-early has to start before lvm/lvm2 and cryptdisk after lvm/lvm2. This can be achieved by making the following minor change to the lvm and lvm2 override file: - -# Should-Start: udev devfsd raid2 mdadm cryptdisks-early +# Should-Start: udev devfsd raid2 mdadm cryptdisks-early Greetings Arjan - -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable'), (101, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.21-2-nebula (PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=nl_NL.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=nl_NL.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages insserv depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.13 Debian configuration management sy ii libc6 2.5-11 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii sysv-rc 2.86.ds1-38 System-V-like runlevel change mech insserv recommends no packages. - -- debconf information: insserv/enable: -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFGdY7pUALvsZYuOJARArcFAJ44Pmb0xurvLJPgj2oJmOGEhvTGOgCgyP2K 7Csv1PacvQ/Yp1QE0WbdCVo= =CmXh -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
