Oh, I had completely forgotten this bug. It has been, for my case, fixed by reverting to the previous xorg package for about a month or two, and then one day it was fixed. No problem with my ATI since then. lspci output, for the record : 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc RV350 [Mobility Radeon 9600 M10] I use the "radeon" driver.
