But here the doc links point to a CTAN mirror, for example http://theory.uwinnipeg.ca/scripts/CTAN/macros/latex/contrib/a0poster/a0_eng.pdf but for offline use you want the FOO/macros/latex/contrib to be replaced by the path in the TEXMF tree...
