Hum.. It looks like there is a problem in the lcrash compression handling. It will be a few more days before I can get a 2.4 kernel running to try to duplicate this bug. In the mean time, can you try a couple of things? 1. Can you bring up lcrash on the live machine rather than the dump? i.e. lcrash -m /boot/System.map-2.4.27 -t /boot/Kerntypes-2.4.27 2. If your kernel was built debug (-g), you could try to see if the "crash" debugger can read the dump as a workaround. It's packaged as "crash".
