Of course it's your decision in the end, but I personally don't think that users should be left with packages in an uninstallable state because the package maintainer did a mistake. The maintainer should noticed and care, the user shouldn't. Especially if the postinst does nothing life-threatening, but just updating an icon cache. Have a nice day, Daniel
