I've come to the opinion that this is a bug in gri, and not in gv.

1) If I copy everything from %%Page: 1 1 up to %%Page: 2 2, and renumber
the pages accordingly, and view the result in gs, the second page
is rotated like gv displays the first one uppon redisplay.
This means there is an error in the postscript file, as DSC marked
pages are supposed to be independent, which this one is clearly not.

2) If I disable "Respect DSC" in State->gv options, I get no rotation
   effect uppon redisplay.

3) the file gri produces (I've checked 2.12.13-1 still does this)
does some rotating, but does not save the graphic state.
Without gsave and grestore around the page, it is easy to not
have the same state after the page as before (so ending up with
disallowed dependant pages), so I'm guessing this is the culprit.
(Especially as grep rotate on the old and the new ps file show
three times rotate by 90 and one time by -90...)

Hochachtungsvoll,
