Package: cupsys Version: 1.2.12-1 Severity: normal Hi,
I have my laptop set up to support printers that are announced over the network (browsing). It worked last week. Since this weekend's update, it doesn't work anymore. When I browse to localhost:631 on my laptop and follow the link to the admin interface of the printer, it links to server:0 instead of server:631, as it should. Capturing packets on the network while a printjob is queued on my laptop also shows that something on my laptop is trying to connect to port 0 on the server. This leads me to conclude that the port information that is received through browsing is lost somehow. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: powerpc (ppc) Kernel: Linux 2.6.21-2-powerpc Locale: LANG=nl_BE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=nl_BE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages cupsys depends on: ii adduser 3.104 add and remove users and groups ii cupsys-common 1.2.12-1 Common UNIX Printing System(tm) - ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.13 Debian configuration management sy ii gs-esp 8.15.3.dfsg.1-1 The Ghostscript PostScript interpr ii libc6 2.6-2 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libcupsimage2 1.2.12-1 Common UNIX Printing System(tm) - ii libcupsys2 1.2.12-1 Common UNIX Printing System(tm) - ii libdbus-1-3 1.1.1-3 simple interprocess messaging syst ii libgnutls13 1.6.3-1 the GNU TLS library - runtime libr ii libldap2 2.1.30-13.4 OpenLDAP libraries ii libpam0g 0.79-4 Pluggable Authentication Modules l ii libpaper1 1.1.21 Library for handling paper charact ii libslp1 1.2.1-6.2 OpenSLP libraries ii lsb-base 3.1-23.1 Linux Standard Base 3.1 init scrip ii perl-modules 5.8.8-7 Core Perl modules ii procps 1:3.2.7-3 /proc file system utilities ii xpdf-utils [poppler-uti 3.02-1 Portable Document Format (PDF) sui ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-5 compression library - runtime Versions of packages cupsys recommends: ii cupsys-client 1.2.12-1 Common UNIX Printing System(tm) - ii foomatic-filters 3.0.2-20061031-1.2 linuxprinting.org printer support ii smbclient 3.0.25b-1+b1 a LanManager-like simple client fo -- debconf information: cupsys/raw-print: true * cupsys/ports: 631 cupsys/backend: ipp, lpd, parallel, socket, usb cupsys/portserror: * cupsys/browse: true -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
