I just tried gv 3.6.1 on the original 6 page document, and it now shows the text that was missing before. It also says **** This file has a corrupted %%EOF marker, or garbage after the %%EOF. **** The file was produced by Oracle PDF driver: **** please notify the author of this software **** that the file does not conform to Adobe's published PDF **** specification. Processing of the file will continue normally. So it looks like the pdf file may have been at fault, but that gv now handles it more gracefully. So as far as I am concerned, the bug can be closed.
