Hi,

I'm the maintainer for the Debian XML::Writer packages. I've just
received Debian bug #304477:

   http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=304477

This bug documents a problem with the OUTPUT constructor parameter. The
constructor bombs out when this parameter is passed a scalar reference.

I've done a little digging myself (as documented in the bug report) but
this is beyond my understanding of Perl. Could you please take a look
at it and let me know what you think? If there's someone else I should
be writing instead, please let me know.

If possible, please CC the Debian bug report <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> in
your reply(s).

Thanks,

KEN
