Package: texmacs
Version: 1:1.0.6.10-1
Severity: normal

Hi,

This is apparently a bug of the TeXmacs interface to Maxima and not of Maxima
itself, since I can't reproduce it running Maxima in a terminal.

The easiest way to find it in my system is starting the Maxima interface and
entering, for instance,

  for i : 0 thru 100000 do display( i );

The sequence of displayed numbers gets interrupted (at i=2083), the input
prompt appears, but then the previous loop continues regardless of the
new input, and a) gets interrupted again, or b) hangs TeXmacs, or c) ends the
loop BUT the mismatch between input and output persists, a big
nuisance. The interruption point seems to be loop-dependent (earlier if the
body of the loop is more demanding,) so it is perhaps a memory issue.

Versions of the relevant packages:

  maxima 5.10.0-6
  gcl    2.6.7-34

Thank you in advance,

Miguel
