Just for the record, if someone wants to put this into Debian, Till Kamppeter already packaged it in Ubuntu: http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/universe/c/cupsddk/ There is nothing particularly Ubuntu specific in it, and I reviewed the package for sanity.
