Meanwhile I noticed that this error only happens when you hit the "Search" Button next to the addressbar to call the search site *and* the addressbar is empty. Maybe I never noticed this with metager2 before. But this error is also reproducable with seamonkey not only with iceape from debian, so its not only a debian bug.
