Package: clamav-milter Version: 0.91.1-1~volatile1 Severity: normal
I've been following the instructions from /usr/share/doc/clamav-base.README.Debian.gz to interface clamav-milter with postfix using a setgid directory. However this does not work out of the box - as shown in the instructions, the created socket is not postfix group writeable, so postfix can not communicate with the milter. As a crude workaround, I've added 'umask 007' in /etc/default/clamav-milter. This works fine for me, however I suspect this is not the best solution (i.e. it might be better to set umask only when starting the daemon ???) -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.20.14 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages clamav-milter depends on: ii clamav-base 0.91.1-1~volatile1 base package for clamav, an anti-v ii clamav-freshclam [cla 0.91.1-1~volatile1 downloads clamav virus databases f ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-13 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libclamav2 0.91.1-1~volatile1 virus scanner library ii libmilter0 8.13.8-3 Sendmail Mail Filter API (Milter) ii libwrap0 7.6.dbs-13 Wietse Venema's TCP wrappers libra ii lsb-base 3.1-23.1 Linux Standard Base 3.1 init scrip Versions of packages clamav-milter recommends: pn clamav-daemon <none> (no description available) -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
