Package: p7zip-full Version: 4.47~dfsg.1-1 Severity: normal On Fedora, the p7zip package only includes the 7za binary. It's 7za binary supports -sfx option, however.
On Debian, currently only 7z supports -sfx, but not 7za. This makes it difficult to write scripts that work across linux distributions. Is there a reason why 7za can't generate self-extracting archives in Debian? -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.21-2-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_CA, LC_CTYPE=en_CA (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages p7zip-full depends on: ii libc6 2.6-5 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libgcc1 1:4.2.1-1 GCC support library ii libstdc++6 4.2.1-1 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 p7zip-full recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
