Package: devscripts Version: 2.10.6 Severity: wishlist File: /usr/bin/bts I've had a lot of problems recently with people randomly changing bugs assigned to my packages using the bts command without providing any form of descriptive text explaining why they are manipulating the bugs. This makes it harder work than it should be to reverse engineer what they were trying to do.
In the past when people just e-mailed control this wasn't such a problem since people tended to include some descriptive text in their e-mails but the current bts command line interface doesn't. It would be really helpful if the bts command line could be modified to encourage people to provide some form of comment. I have to say that no good ideas immediately spring to mind, though. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: powerpc (ppc) Kernel: Linux 2.6.21-1-powerpc Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages devscripts depends on: ii debianutils 2.22.1 Miscellaneous utilities specific t ii dpkg-dev 1.14.5 package building tools for Debian ii libc6 2.6-4 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii perl 5.8.8-7 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction ii sed 4.1.5-2 The GNU sed stream editor Versions of packages devscripts recommends: ii fakeroot 1.7.1 Gives a fake root environment -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
