I'm sorry to say that there isn't ... CPU usage is ok as long as I'm not actually doing anything with the connection. Just trying to move a window or opening a menu will spike it immediately. The performance is worse than it ever was, dragging a window drags the window manager's title bar first, then the rest of the window hobbles / smears after it in layers - you can watch the UI draw leisurely. Scrolling is completely impossible as the scrolled info sort of topples over itself. What am I doing wrong - it can't be that unusable for other people? Reminds me of the one time I had to use VNC over a 56k modem ... brr. Using dedicvated VNC screens I sometimes forget that I'm not working locally. Even videos can be previewed, if only at a few fps.
