Package: ntp Version: 4.2.4p0+dfsg-1 Severity: wishlist On my systems I set my ntp server to a local ntp server (rather than using debian.pool.ntp.org, I'm behind a firewall). I would like to be able to set this via debconf so that I can use preseeding to set it up. I thought I had remembered ntp using debconf for this purpose a while back, but can't find any trace of it now (maybe it was ntpdate?). I think this question could probably be asked at "low" priority, as the pool servers are probably a good default for most people.
In addition to setting servers, maybe there are other parameters that would make sense to be able to set via debconf? Another alternative would be to use the DHCP solution mentioned in #370332, although people don't always have a DHCP server available so having a debconf method would be nice too. Sorry no patch right now :( Thanks, -- Matt Taggart [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
