I just did and the problem is still here. Note that the problem happens only when two screens are active at the same time: - my external screen - my laptop screen By default, xrandr configures it in a way that my laptop's screen is a subset of the view of the external screen. If I switch my laptop screen off (with xrandr --output LVDS --off), and then restart xscreensaver, then it uses the full size of my external screen.
