After upgrading util-linux to 2.13~rc3-3 and bsdutils to 1:2.13~rc3-3,
aptitude tells me something like 'got SIGSEGV @ 0' and quits.
Downgrade these two packages to 2.13~rc3-1 and then aptitude works again.

Very interesting. The sum total of changes between rc3-1 and rc3-3 are:
1. an error message change in mount
2. Changing nfs-common from Recommends to Suggests
3. Adding "lpia" as a valid architecture
4. Removal of a file that is not delivered or used anywhere
5. Dropping libselinux1-dev as a build-dep on hurd-i386

By the way, when I try to downgrade them, dpkg tells me that file lists
of some packages (alsa-utils, abiword-gnome, ...) are missing. I'm not
sure if this is caused by the same problem.

I rather expect that this may be more related to the bug, and that
util-linux got caught in a similar manner...

Hi LaMont,

I upgrade the util-linux and bsdutils again. Although there's still
warning messages from dpkg, the aptitude works after the upgrade.

$ sudo dpkg -i util-linux_2.13~rc3-3_i386.deb bsdutils_1%3a2.13~rc3-3_i386.deb

This should not be a util-linux problem. Please close this issue.

Sorry for the false report...
