I've forwarded your bug report to sourceforge [1], where a xine developer
has written this:

FLAC files needs seekpoints in the metadata to be seekable. The metaflac
command can be used both to inquiry and to create the seek table.

That particular sample seems to be truncated, please try with some other
FLAC file, and make sure it has valid seekpoints.


Can you confirm this analysis? Can this bug be closed, or can you
provide another, non-broken flac file where you are unable to seek?
