Package: usbutils Version: 0.72-7 Severity: normal Users without permissions to usb devices don't know that they don't have permission and don't know that the device actually exists. It is a hassle to have to run lsusb as root all the time to be sure that devices are not silently ignored.
lsusb should display permission errors when enumerating those devices to which the user has no access.
