Here's the line from /etc/fstab //elwood.nist.gov/85_msel/855/users/luecke /mnt/elwood cifs rw,noauto,user,uid=luecke,gid=luecke,credentials=/home/luecke/.elwood-creds,domain=NIST 0 0 I don't know if this is significant, but I have r/w rights in two fileshares of our server. One is my personal directory, which you see mounted in /etc/fstab. When that directory is mounted, I had hoped that I would see the mount point /mnt/elwood contain my file share but as you see from the file save stuff above, it actually mounts all of our server, and I have to navigate down to my file share. But the file save problem happens in both the "luecke" and "855GL" file shares (I just tried it). bill -- William Luecke NIST Metallurgy Division; Materials Performance Group 100 Bureau Dr MS 8553, Gaithersburg, MD 20899 [EMAIL PROTECTED] 301 975 5744 (voice) 301 975 4553 (fax) The power of invention has been conferred by nature upon few, and the labour of learning those sciences which may, by mere labour, be obtained, is too great to be willingly endured; but every man can exert such judgement as he has upon the works of others; and he whom nature has made weak, and idleness keeps ignorant, may yet support his vanity by the name of a critic.
