I'm afraid this package, by today, as is too heavily under development, and although it releases alphas very frequently, it's much more unstable than what SID could stand for. I saw from a very quick look above the application, that the gnome-configuration stuff needs to be highly debian-repoliced. In any case, it does more or less what 'galternatives' and 'configure-debian' does, not big deal. I recommend this package to wait until a more stable release to be packaged.
