What is a "XINERAMA change event"? xscreensaver already receives and reacts to RANDR RRScreenChangeNotify events (see driver/timers.c line 1010).
I no longer have access to a multi-head X11 system, so if there's something wrong with that code, someone will need to send me a patch...
