This is the Gtk "fix" btw: http://svn.gnome.org/viewcvs/gtk%2B/trunk/README.in?r1=18547&r2=18766 This implies that using the workaround (removing the assertion) seems to break other stuff since glib 2.14. PS: Greetings from Paderborn :)
