ddclient 3.7.3-2 does OK force-update DDNS your-ddns.dyndns.org if IPs did NOT changed
Hi. Yes, it works OK on lenny. I did: 0. wget .. from lenny (on one of etch.servers) 1. dpkg -i ddc... 2. vim ddclient.cache.testing_lenny (my saved version from july; edit it to NEW version COMMENT+add current IPs = the same;; if they differs from your current IP - UR not testing THIS BUG - it will work in older version too) 3. cp ddclient.cache.testing_lenny ddclient.cache 4. FMI: howto test it simplier::ddclient -force -verbose (which I did NOT test be4 opening the bug) Comments: 0. FYI: I didnt receive YOUR mail from you/from bugs.debian.org Just looked on weblink ... 1. Is is VERY important - after 35 days your DNS are NOT working (many servers (schools...) in EU does not have static IP; but dynamic IP are rarely changed if you have "always traffic".) 2. It is ETCH=stable - I think we can not forget such a bug in STABLE realease. +++ FYI: Package: ddclient State: installed Automatically installed: no Version: 3.7.3-2 Priority: extra Section: net Maintainer: Torsten Landschoff <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Uncompressed Size: 246k Depends: perl5, debconf (>= 0.5) | debconf-2.0, lsb-base (>= 3.0-6), initscripts (>= 2.86.ds1-26) Recommends: libio-socket-ssl-perl Provides: dyndns-client Thanks !!!!
