Package: MAKEDEV Version: 3.3.8.2-0 Severity: normal I use udev, which created the fraembuffer device /dev/fb/0. Now, when MAKEDEV fb is called (for example from fbset's postinst), it fails, trying to overwrite the directory /dev/fb with a symlink:
| [EMAIL PROTECTED]/dev> sudo ./MAKEDEV -v fb | symlink fb -> fb0 | error making /dev/fb: File exists Shouldn't MAKEDEV just ignore such a call when it detects udev and just exit with exitcode 0? Or maybe just create the device in /dev/.static/dev/ or so? -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.22.1 (PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages MAKEDEV depends on: ii base-passwd 3.5.13 Debian base system master password ii libc6 2.6.1-5 GNU C Library: Shared libraries MAKEDEV recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
