Package: liblog4cpp4 Version: 0.3.5-rc3-1 Severity: normal
The current Debian package is the same from etch to sid but has issues with thread handling. This renders it unusable for the grid community, i.e., for those using Shibboleth as reported in bug #432729. I have not seen the release notes yet, but the 1 month old version 1.0 at http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=15190 may be a prime candidate to have received a respective fix. Please give it a try. Since this problem is affecting quite some many other packages in security-relevant areas, I would be glad if you could give it some priority or ask (me?) for help.
