Then remove the longtitle entirely.

The longtitle must be a valid menu entry, not some kind of self-promotion.
Imagine the menu Applications/Network/Communication filled
with entries like
  The user-friendly, lightweight and fast Claws Mail email client
  The resource-efficient and easy-to-use Evolution email client
  The beautiful and standard-compliant Thunderbird email client
  The system-friendly, bloat-free and text-based Mutt email client

Would you not find that annoying ?
