I think it would be enough to build the xvncviewer with debug symbols. Maybe the package containing /usr/lib/debreaper/libviaticum.so should be rebuild with debug symbols as well. It seems to be a new package 'debreaper' in unstable that contain this shared object. Maybe that explain why you get the problem and I do not.
