I can't reproduce that here. Can you tell me what the symbolic link
/usr/bin/gvim points to? On my system it looks like:

lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 22 2006-02-14 15:39 /usr/bin/gvim ->
/etc/alternatives/gvim

And /etc/alternatives/gvim points to...

lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 16 2007-10-23 20:42 /etc/alternatives/gvim ->
/usr/bin/vim.gtk

        Seems that this is the problem, on my system:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/downloads]$ l /usr/bin/gvim
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 22 2006-09-02 00:25 /usr/bin/gvim -> /etc/alternatives/gvim

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/downloads]$ l /etc/alternatives/gvim
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 17 2007-08-10 16:38 /etc/alternatives/gvim -> /usr/bin/vim.full

        there is none /usr/bin/vim.full

I changed manually the symbolic link and now all works fine, so maybe this is not a problem in cream package, but vim || vim-gtk...
