But I think that the behavior has not changed. If you disable images, an alt='' img will not be represented in the displayed page. Now, the "broken image" picture appears initially but quickly disappears. I think it's slightly preferable if it were to remain since this would allow the form to be submitted, plus it shows that there's a thing that's intended to be present there rather than failing to do such.
