I cannot remove phpmyadmin, I am receiving the following error:

Removing phpmyadmin ...
/var/lib/dpkg/info/phpmyadmin.postrm: line 38: apache_install: command
not found
dpkg: error processing phpmyadmin (--purge):
subprocess post-removal script returned error exit status 127
Errors were encountered while processing:

I've tried modifying the postrm script to comment out the offending line
(below), but I don't know what side effects this has.

Offending line:

                                apache_install $webserver
