With the new 8.42.3 I see a corruption in the lower right corner with my 
Radeon 9800 (r300).
This is an upstream issue, a fix is available at 

http://www.rage3d.com/board/showpost.php?p=1335043887&postcount=6

Right now I can not connect to rage3d.com, so here it comes:
