I believe you need to read the help on "index-format", especially the
part that reads:

          If you want to retain the default format that _Pine_ 4.64
          had, use

       Index-Format=STATUS MSGNO DATE FROMORTO(33%) SIZE SUBJKEY(67%)

This is probably what you wanted.

I'd quite like iso dates and 24 hr clock, but I believe I need to play
around with my own LANG and LC_* env to make that work.
