just use dh_make to regenerate templates for
debian/git-core.emacsen-{install,remove}
add call to
dh_installemacsen
within debian/rules
files to install are not within git-core under
/usr/share/doc/git-core/contrib/emacs
Please let me know if you need help -- I will dive into the git-core
packaging and provide you with a patch ;-)
