hello, i tried doing what was written above :
cat /path/to/default-x-server.template >> /var/lib/dpkg/info/xserver-xorg.templates dpkg --configure xserver-xorg but it continued failing, and finally did not work for me. the solution was to copy a backup xorg.conf file to /etc/X11/. Regards, Michalis Georgiou
