Package: auditd
Version: 1.5.3-2

I'm not sure if i'm making somethig wrong, but I can't make the
package Auditd (unstable/sid) work.
Does someone know any way to make auditd work without waiting for the
fixed package? I've compiled auditd from source and every thing looks
fine, but auditcl says
"Error sending add rule request (Invalid argument)"
If not, when is the package going to work?

I pass to the kernel the parameter audit=1

more info:
# auditctl  -e 1
AUDIT_STATUS: enabled=1 flag=1 pid=0 rate_limit=0 backlog_limit=320
lost=0 backlog=0
# auditctl -a entry,always -S open
Error sending add rule request (Invalid argument)

# grep AUDIT /usr/src/linux-2.6.21.5/.config
CONFIG_AUDIT=y
CONFIG_AUDITSYSCALL=y
CONFIG_AUDIT_GENERIC=y
# uname -a
Linux ibm360 2.6.21.5 #6 SMP Thu Aug 2 18:29:39 CEST 2007 i686 GNU/Linux
