Summary: creates empty file duplicates in incoming after originals removed Project: mldonkey, a multi-networks file-sharing client Submitted by: gildor Submitted on: Thu 04/28/05 at 22:36 Category: Core Severity: 3 - Normal Item Group: Program malfunction Status: None Assigned to: None Open/Closed: Open Release: 2-5-28 Release: Platform Version: Linux Binaries Origin: Debian package CPU type: Intel x86 _______________________________________________________ Details: After files are removed from the incoming directory mldonkey-server creates empty versions of them in the incoming directory. These file creations happen every few minutes. This behaviour happens across server invocations. I primarily use the bittorrent protocol with mldonkey and have not verified that this behaviour happens with other protocols. I suspect this is related to mldonkey-server trying share chunks of completed files and not checking to see if the file still exists. Some sort of 'touch' occurs and a ghost file is created. This is annoying because the incoming directory is constantly populated with the ghosts of files from ages past. This bugs remind me the bug #1459.
