I did change debin/rules from MAKEOPTS = CONFIG=debian/Makefile.config INSTALL_PLUGINS="auto manual snmpauto" to MAKEOPTS = CONFIG=debian/Makefile.config INSTALL_PLUGINS="auto manual snmpauto contrib" to include them on my system.
