package: gdebi
version: 0.3.3

Hi,

/usr/share/gdebi/README lacks some important information IMHO and is
confusing:

quote:
"It will use apt to figure if the dependencies can be satified and
what additonal software is required.

It needs a vte and python-apt from ubuntu/dapper to work. vte needs
a patch to make it not close file descriptors, python-apt needs some
new features."

First question (=important info): does it use apt authentication (secure apt)?

And the confusing part: does it really need vte and python-apt from
ubuntu/dapper to work, or are the versions in debian/etch (or sid) good
enough? ;-)

regards,
        Holger
