I've run into a couple of problems with your Debian mirrors over the last few days. More details are in http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=369433 toward the bottom.
As shown in logs http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?msg=40;filename=badgpg;att=1;bug=369433, on Nov 23 I asked for a Release and Release.gpg file for testing. I got back files with significantly different timestamps; these files did not validate with GPG. They appear to have been updated a few hours before I contacted the server, though I'm not sure what time zone I was getting the remote timestamp in. I'm in Pacific Time, which I think is the same as you. Yesterday I got files from mirror.peer1.net and the gpg files don't seem to have been retrieved at all. This latter attempt was via aptitude; unlike the earlier one, apt-cacher was not involved. I don't have more detailed logs for that. Today everything worked fine. FYI, dig shows mirror.peer1.net. 1224 IN CNAME cache.peer1.net. cache.peer1.net. 60 IN A 69.90.213.247 cache.peer1.net. 60 IN A 69.90.213.249 cache.peer1.net. 60 IN A 69.90.213.248 cache.peer1.net. 60 IN A 69.90.42.232 If you have any ideas about what's going on, I'd love to hear them. Thanks for making the mirror available. -- Ross Boylan wk: (415) 514-8146 185 Berry St #5700 [EMAIL PROTECTED] Dept of Epidemiology and Biostatistics fax: (415) 514-8150 University of California, San Francisco San Francisco, CA 94107-1739 hm: (415) 550-1062 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
