Please ignore this. First, it is called "LD_ASSUME_KERNEL" and second, "=2.4.0" does no longer work with glibc-2.7. So me seeing guessnet working was just one of the few times it does instead of failing, as the bug-reporter already noticed. So my next guess ist: Some race condition with threading. As a side note: Recompiling guessnet with the new glibc-2.7 does not change anything (which would have really surprised me).
