Hi Michael, I'm not sure how I feel about that change actually.
These scripts (and the config file) are meant to be moved somewhere else before they are executed. They're not executable because they're just there as an example for people to use if they want to. In fact, I'm not even sure that they should be in this package. I mean they have nothing to do with learning dvorak. Configuring your system to use a dvorak keymap is outside the scope of this package. Now, I do like keeping my packages fully synced with Ubuntu because it makes things easier for everybody.
