Hi, Building the current bzip2 in an up-to-date pbuilder produces an uninstalable package:
... Unpacking replacement bzip2 ... Setting up bzip2 (1.0.3-7) ... install-info(/usr/share/info/bzip2.info): warning, ignoring confusing INFO-DIR-ENTRY in file. No `START-INFO-DIR-ENTRY' and no `This file documents'. install-info(/usr/share/info/bzip2.info): unable to determine description for `dir' entry - giving up dpkg: error processing bzip2 (--install): subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1 The problem is with bzip2.info, produced by makeinfo during the building process. This is part of the diff between the version in unstable and the new one: --- bzip2.info.old 2007-05-21 07:44:00.000000000 +0200 +++ bzip2.info 2007-12-17 01:29:59.000000000 +0100 @@ -1,6 +1,6 @@ -This is bzip2.info, produced by makeinfo version 4.8 from manual.texi. - START-INFO-DIR-ENTRY +This is bzip2.info, produced by makeinfo version 4.11 from manual.texi. + * Bzip2: (bzip2).
